World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc (WWE) is the world’s leader for high-flying physical confrontations, and in 2004, the show just appears to get bigger and better. The WWE will offer its faithful viewers eight pay-per-view events before the end of the year, and each is likely to build on to the last. The next PPV event will be “The Great American Bash” on June 27 th in Norfolk, VA. In addition to the PPV events, the WWE also offers tickets to view live shows in hundreds of cities across North America, all of which are entertaining and memorable. Included in the live shows are live tapings of “RAW”, “Smackdown!”, and “HEAT” which air on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday respectively.
The WWE boasts some of the best athletes in the world, some known for their high-flying acrobatics, and others for their immense strength and fortitude. The current group of superstars is led by “Triple H” Hunter Hearst Helmsley and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The WWE also gave “The Rock” his start, one that he has since used to propel himself into the world of acting in major motion pictures like “The Mummy” and “Walking Tall”. Members of the WWE’s prestigious Hall of Fame include Andre the Giant, Gorilla Monsoon, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, and Vince McMahon Sr, co-creator of the WWE’s first shows and father of the current head of the WWE.
