Fans don’t seem to mind - despite backing a lackluster team, they constantly break attendance records, and Washington remaining one of the most profitable team in the NFL.
The Redskins have been playing football in the National Football League in Washington since the 1937 season. Over that time, the team has won five Super Bowls, most recently in 1991, and has won five conference championships.

Legendary coach Joe Gibbs came back to the Redskins for his second stint as leader in Washington after he coached the team from 1981-1992, compiling a 140-65 record in the process. Under Gibbs, the Redskins won three Super Bowls, four conference championships, four division championships, and made seven postseason appearances. He is hoping he can do the same this time around.
