Sting, already touring to promote his new release “Sacred Love”, will continue to tour through October of 2004, and will be joined by Annie Lennox for the remaining shows. The tour will open in late June in Camden, New Jersey, and will run through mid-October when the tour finishes in Calgary, Alberta. In the mean time, they’ll travel all over North America, hitting more than 40 cities on their way.
Sting reached superstar status as the head man for The Police, a group that took over in the late 70s and early 80s. Immediately following the break-up of the group, Sting began work on a solo career. Early on, his biggest legions of fans seemed to be the younger generation, but in the early 90s, Sting shifted to adult contemporary and began to reach a group that was seemingly untapped previously. Sting has always put together good albums, and his tours are generally well above average in popularity.
