The Dave Matthews Band completed their last tour in January of 2004, but they’re back on the road this summer. The tour starts June 17th in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and will continue until they reach West Valley City, Utah, on September 8th. The band didn’t tour much in the last decade, but due to overwhelming popularity and respect and admiration to the fans, they’ve been touring machines over the last few years.
Five men formed “The Dave Matthews Band” in 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia. The music has been described as “Grateful Dead meets world-beat,” but it’s certainly worked in attracting millions of fans worldwide. 1994 brought the release of “Under the Table and Dreaming,” a record that would sell four million copies in the US alone. “Crash” was released in 1996, entering at #2 on the charts and quickly going double platinum, and “Live at Red Rocks” was an unexpected success by selling a million copies in five months in 1997.
